Hello!
My name is Svyatoslav Koychev and I would like to be the secretary of the Russian society at the University of Southampton.
To be a member of the society is vital for me because it gives me the opportunity to meet excellent people and to speak my native language. Unfortunately, the obligations of the secretary are very boring but as a lawyer I hope I will be able to deal with all tasks effectively. In my opinion, I have enough skills to carry out all the duties and I will do my best. I hope, I will not look like a classical Russian bureaucrat and everybody will be satisfied with my job.
Best regards,
Svyatoslav

Proud to present - Society president and vice-president candidates!

Hey guys!
It’s Arshak and Vadim here, your candidates for the Society’s president and vice-president!
We both study for a LLM in Maritime Law and intend to make Armenia and Latvia great maritime nations in the nearest future! It’s a rather difficult task we have embraced, Latvia being one of the smallest nations in Europe and almost impossible in case of Armenia, which has got no access to sea, however our determination to achieve the goals we set for ourselves showcases our intention to tackle the hardest of tasks with great self-belief.
That is exactly how we are going to tackle the Russian Society business!
We want this society to be the best new society after the first year and then to become the best ethnic-linguistic society at this university!
We want it to deliver better learning experience, better career prospects and loads and loads of fun to its members on a constant basis!
Here is why we are the best people for the job:
Arshak: tonnes of experience in different walks of life, been a company director, ran international commercial operations, speaks 4 languages, has great interpersonal skills. Arshak is also the current LLM Course Representative and has represented Armenia in the World Finals of the Public Speaking Competition organised by ESU, an organisation under the patronage of HM the Queen.

Meet the Society Events Organiser - Slava!

This society is very important to me because it is not easy to find Russian speaking people among students, and I want to help them to get together. I am an open and cheerful person, therefore it is easy for me to make contact with new people. I have already lived in Southampton for a year and I have enough knowledge about this city to provide different kinds of fascinating events. It will be a great pleasure for me to make this society bigger and better.
Yours,
Slava!
Meet the Society treasurer -Katya!
Hello druzya !
This is going to be the shortest manifesto
you’ve ever read, so no hard times guys!

My name is Katya and I’m a third-year student,
doing Maths with Actuarial Science (don’t
doing Maths with Actuarial Science (don’t
even ask me what it is).
I would like to apply for the position of
the society treasurer, taking responsibility
for managing the unmanageable, allocating
our humble budget efficiently and
getting the Uni’s attention and
funding (which I suppose to be essential at
this stage).
I have had the experience of being a course rep,
so I know how to deal with the Uni. You can
completely rely on me and together we will
erase the ‘snow, vodka, bear’ stereotype.
Best wishes,
Katya
